Will Guitar Rig 6 settings open if I upgrade to Guitar Rig 7?

I have several sessions in Protools that are "work in progress" and have Guitar Rig 6 running in real time with just a clean DI signal printed on the audio track. If I upgrade to version 7, will I be able to open those sessions and have all of my settings in place? I'm not talking about storing and recalling User Presets. I want to open the session and just hit play and not be disappointed. Will this work or do I need to go into every session I have and print all sounds before upgrading? Thanks.

Unfortunately, there is no automatic system like this, you'll need to keep Guitar Rig 6 in order to open these projects.

Do not think these two are 100% backwards compatible due to different amp combos and FX.

While you might get lucky (or “close enough” depending on what the v6 presets used - I would
consult with support before assuming anything.

And - if your current v6 presets are not up for taking a chance - print them to audio.

Yep. They are separate plugins and can co-exist just fine.
