CPU spikes, huge bursts of dangerous dBFS, and nasty clicks and pops since V1.7

Question

Ever since V1.7 came out, Massive X has performed unreliably.  There are huge CPU spikes.  When using your mouse to interact with (even just hovering over) a UI element in your DAW, these interactions cause nasty clicks and pops, at best, and jitter/stuttering in Massive X output that persists until you rest your DAW.  And every so often, there is a huge burst of dangerous (+250 dBFS) output that destroys speakers and ear drums.

It seems that the big V1.7 update was making all parameters available for automation, but there has been an inadvertent and terrible performance issue introduced.

You can maybe make a copy of the project, only leave the Massive X tracks where the issue is showing and send it to me privately, I understand that you might not want to share the thing in public.

You can also use myairbridge, GoogleDrive or a similar service and send me tthe link in a direct message too.

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for your message. I made a video showing the problem in my current project. Unfortunately, I can’t share this Live Set. But the video clearly shows what’s happening. I’m using six Massive X instances here. What’s annoying is that after resetting the peaks, you have to reactivate all the automations (even those for the Massive X instances that aren’t directly affected).

@oobe79 @DS99 We'd like to investigate the issue. Would you be able to reproduce the issue in a small project, zip it and upload it here? A little video showcasing the issue would also help.
