Volume issue after updating Kontakt to 8.9

Hello everyone,

I work with Logic and everything was fine with Kontakt until the last update few days ago.

I use the Sasaki trumpet, and everytime I load a project, the volume is extremely low on the trumpet track, with the volume button on 0 db as usual in Kontakt and 0 in Logic too. When I remove/reload the instrument (using the load menu), everything works as intended again. But I have to do this everytime I load the project.

I use other non-library instruments, and some don't have this bug, but the Sasaki Trumpet is one of those.

Any idea what can cause this, please?

Google gave me the answer but I couldn't answer sooner.

If anyone interested, it's not a Kontakt issue but a Logic issue: just uncheck the CC1 reset in settings (Logic Settings > MIDI > Reset Messages > MIDI Control 1 (Modulation) to zero).

Strangely, the reset was checked but ignored for years before the last Kontakt 8.9 update.

Hello again, this morning I found the solution (if someone has the same issue): on load the modulation modwheel is set on the maximum, but when I restart Logic, the modwheel is reseted to 0.

That's why only the Sasaki Trumpet has issues, because the volume is controlled by the modulation wheel with this library.

I created an automation in Logic to set the modulation to the max level at the start of the song, that fix the problem.

But is there another way to not reset the modwheel at every Logic launch?

When you save a Kontakt instrument or multi, cc settings are stored, but not cc values (unless they have been specified in Modulation programming). I suspect the same applies to DAW projects - certainly my own (Bidule).

Keeping cc values can be done via script, so is the responsibility of the library author, and I suspect is implemented in most commercial instruments (obviously not yours.)
