Hello,
I am using Cubase 13 Pro with Kontakt 7 and Session Strings 2.
I am trying to create a short pitch drop / pitch slide on one note in the Pitchbend lane in the Key Editor.
The problem is that even if I return the pitch bend to 0 exactly between two notes, the next note is still slightly affected at the beginning.
I already tried:
- returning the pitch bend to 0 slightly before the next note
- shortening the previous note
- reducing release
- testing it in Kontakt standalone as well
So my questions are:
- Is this simply because normal Pitch Bend in Cubase is channel-wide?
- Is there a proper way to do this with Kontakt instruments when notes are very close to each other?
- Can Note Expression help here with Kontakt / Session Strings 2, or does this only work with instruments that support VST Note Expression directly?
- What is the best workflow for short pitch drops on a single note without affecting the following note?
My goal is a clean disco-style string pitch drop on one note only, without the next note being bent.
Thanks a lot.
