Kontakt 8, one cutoff propagated to all using Retro Machines MK2

I'm experiencing an issue using Retro Machines MK2 with Kontakt 8.

I open Kontakt 8 and insert two or more Retro Machine's instrument on the same Midi Port .

this condition usually happens when i use Patterns Tools to operate with layered sounds.

So, when i move  the Cutoff knob on one of the instrument, the cutoff is propagated to all instrument.

If I assign the instrument to different Midi Port it works fine.

Retro Machines assign the Cutoff_cc to 110, and it is read by Daft LP to modulate.

Using Kontakt 7 it works fine.

I think could be the latest Kontakt 8 update, beacuse i didn't experienced this issue before…

Hi Jeremy,

I wrote to the support too, Jonas and Andreas wrote me.

The problem is that Retro Machines uses MIDI CC assigned to Cutoff, Resonance and other parameters in the engine. Cutoff and Resonance are used by modulator Daft LP, Ladder etc..

The MIDI CC is assigned to a Port/Midi.

I have more than one Retro Machine layered and linked to a Pattern Tool.

Pattern tool assigned to all Instrument the same Midi Channel eg. Tool:Arp down.

So every change I made on Instrument reflects on the other ones.

I tried both Kontakt 7 and 8 as stand-alone to try, even if I usually use Camelot Pro.

I got another issue using Camelot Pro.

Camelot Pro is used to play live song. This is the structure:

* Setlist: all the Song you have to play 
* Song:  the single song or medley that could have one or more Scenes
* Scene: represent the set of sounds used in a single moment of the song

We may use a Scene for the Verse and on for the Chorus, if they have some different instrument, or a Scene for Song1 and a Scene for Song2 if we play a medley of two song for example.

Camelot load all plugins of one Song when we select it, then represent and use only the Plugins needed in the selected Scene.

So when we change from a Scene to another, the new Plugins are available in real time.

It seems that "On init" procedure doesn't start when the Scene is activated. I think it starts when plugin is loaded or a snapshot is loaded (maybe?)

The matter is that activating the Scene, MIDI CC are no set, so Cutoff is set to zero and Retro Machine sounds are very very low.

As a workaround I defined a boolean Knob in Retro Machine code, assigned to a CC sent by Camelot when scene Activate.

If Knob is set to 1, when "on note" start, I set the value for each CC using the same instructions we find in   "on persistence_changed". Then I set the Knob to 0 to avoid unnecessary instructions on the next notes.

So the Cutoff is set and the sound is played fine.

I didn't notice this issue till the last Kontakt 8's update

Hey Roberto,

Is this in Kontakt in standalone, in your DAW or both? Which DAW?

What keyboard are you using? To what MIDI channel is it set to?

You're using several instruments in one Kontakt instance, aka using a multi, right? What setting have you chosen in Kontakt 8 here?

Is it the same setting for Kontakt 7?
