Activating multiple Outputs in Kontakt Player 8 (Instrument Track)

Hello all!

I have no trouble activating multiple outputs when using Kontakt Player 8 with a Midi Track. F11 to show the VST Rack, click the arrow icon, enable the required Outputs, and they appear in the Cubase Mixer as expected (please see Screenshot 1).

How do I do this when using Kontakt Player 8 with an Instrument Track (not a Midi Track)?

I cannot find where the dropdown option to activate Kontakt Player's multi outputs is located in Cubase for Instrument Tracks. I cannot get more than the default "Kontakt 8 01" to show up in the Cubase Mixer, no matter how many Outputs I set up inside Kontakt Player.

Hey @MikeMac Unfortunately you are right. We can't guarantee that these features of more recent Kontakt plugins would work on such an old DAW. Hopefully you are still able to use it.

I see the dropdown in the instrument in the VST rack when Kontakt is loaded as an instrument.

This is with Cubase 14, but I'd have thought it's similar back in 5 Studio. There's some instructions here on how to do it as well, but again I'm not sure what version it's targeted at - https://ask.video/article/midi/setting-up-multi-output-tracks-in-cubase

Edit: Just to check, what version of Cubase are you using? The title bar in your screenshot shows "5 studio" but thinking about it 5 Studio is really old, so it might be a later version that's just showing that as the project title.

Yes I'm using Cubase Studio 5.5 (five days a week for 21 years now…laughable I know 🤣) - but I've never needed to upgrade - it works with all the latest plugins on Win11 - I love the uncluttered GUI - and I can work very fast with it (I now it so well!).

I'm beginning to suspect that multi outputs for Instrument Tracks are just not supported on such an early version.

I will have to continue using the VST Rack if that is the case.

Hey @MikeMac Unfortunately you are right. We can't guarantee that these features of more recent Kontakt plugins would work on such an old DAW. Hopefully you are still able to use it.
