Massive 1 1.7.0 Memory Leak / Crashing Ableton 12

Hello, all versions (VST3, VST2, au) of Massive 1.7.0 seem to have a memory leak in MacOS. I'm on Ableton 12. Upon closing the project or deleting the plugin from the track, Ableton crashes. This has been tested with only Massive 1.7.0 in the project. Any help would be much appreciated.

Whoops, I forgot to mention I see 20-24gb of ram use from Massive when it's the only plugin running in Ableton 12.

I was worried when I saw your post, because I just updated Massive and I use Live on stage : no crash nor memory leak allowed for me.

I'm just trying Massive now in an empty Live set and I don't notice any memory leak… Everything is stable and works fine. RAM memory usage is stable.
I'm using the vst3 version of Massive 1.7.0 in Ableton Live 12.3.2 on a M1 pro MBP running MacOs 14.8.4.

Maybe it's a Sequoia issue ? Or another issue with another plugin ?

Don't think so - I'm on Sequoia and not getting these crashes

Hey @tymorris04 We couldn't reproduce the issue here. Have you tried to open Massive in standalone? Does it open? Does it crash at some point? If this is the case, apply these steps: My NI Software Crashes at Startup (macOS)

If issue is only happening in Ableton, are you using any custom folders for the plug-ins or default locations? Does Ableton have full disk access? How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

@Jeremy_NI So it turned out to be the quantity of banks I was adding at once. So I deleted all my banks and reinstalled them in smaller batches, say 10 - 15, then the Massive database was able to update, ram didn't spike, and ultimately didn't crash Ableton or standalone using this method.

For reference, I was previously trying to add about 100 banks at once, which was probably the issue. In hindsight, it does sound silly to add that many at once. Whoops. No amount of waiting would seem to reindex the database and I even saw the ram usage go up to 30 (!) gb at one point, in both standalone and in my DAW.

Nonetheless, appreciate y'all looking into the issue and hope this helps someone else if they're having a crashing / memory leak issue!
