S-Series keyboard Mk4 request

I was thinking of getting a maschine micro as it would fit on top of the mk3 keyboard nicely. But then I was thinking, why did NI put in 16 pads into the MK3 keyboard? This way we could have one less controller to add in and maybe when Maschine integration comes back, it wouldn’t need the extra hardware. Lot of your competition has pads so it wouldn’t be a no brainer. Hopefully it. n be added.

Highly doubt it as this has been discussed quite a bit over the last 10+ years.

Some people want pads, some want faders, some want just 1000 buttons but most people prefer the more cleaner and efficient control it currently has, just maybe with a little more functionality and actually usable buttons for NKS templates. At the moment the MK3 doesn't even integrate with Maschine like the MK2 does due to NI admitting not enough people who use the KK keyboards seem to own a Maschine to make the efforts of their developers worth the time to even integrate their own products! Cramming more Maschine on there would likely make it more expensive and even less desirable.

So likelihood is very low and an MK4 is also unlikely to release in the next 4 years, if ever at all….
