g1 b2 g3 b4 g5 keys not playing on NI kontrol S61 keyboard
You're going to need to be more specific to get any help. Is it happening on ALL libraries consistently? Is it happening in both the DAW and standalone and what DAW are you using. Is this a brand new unit or has it been working before? In essence the first step is to determine if it's a mechanical issue on the keyboard or a issue with how it's configured.
I'd suggest downloading a MIDI monitor app to check if the keyboard is actually sending the notes. That will eliminate anything related to music apps/libraries etc. You could use something line this - https://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/
yes all libraries and applications including Garage band, Reason, and Arturia software.
Downloaded Midi Monitor and those keys are not sending any midi information.
additionally D#2 and D#5 send no midi …seems like a pattern to me
Try removing keyboard in Midi Studio , then reboot computer and then add the keyboard again : Reset keyboard in Mac Midi Studio deleting unused midi device out of audio midi setup
Then check using Midi monitor again.
If it still doesn't work then you should contact N.I. Support (all) .
.
My Kontrol S61 Mk3 keyboard is not sending midi data on all keys. G0, D#1, B1, G2, D#3, B3, etc do not send midi. This happens across all music applications and DAWS (Logic Pro and Reason, Kontack8, Spectrasonic and Arturia) . Same issues when attached to laptop
If this is the same issue as your other post and those keys aren't showing data in Midi Monitor it's almost certainly a hardware problem. Put in a support request here so they can look at the problem more - https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?_gl=1
Please do not open up duplicate discussions on same topic , if you do that then you are wasting everybody's time…
Before giving up have you then tried loading a default Midi template ?
I also saw mykejb write that you can factory reset by quote : To factory reset you can press the settings button then press button 2 at the top of the unit until you get to the General page. The top right button will reset the unit.
I haven't checked if that works to factory reset the MK3 but if it does then that ought also be worth a try…
Else then as mykejb suggests then ask NI Support if they can help…
