Main volume control in Kontakt keeps going back to default mode in Sibelius

When I'm in Sibelius, and using Voxos, the sound in Sibelius is too quiet to match a piano vst. I adjusted the volume slider before I start playback, and it's good, but as soon as I go back to the beginning of the score, the slider goes back to it's default position. I'm not sure how to stop this happening. Is there some type of midi message I can type into the score that will keep it at a set level between 0-127 somewhere? Here's a screen shot and you can see the volume slider just on top of where it says "settings" in the screenshot [so you know which slider Im talking about] Thanks for any advice for me here.

Hello,

i´m not a sibelius user but could it be the case that it sends out midi cc7 to kontakt, that is the only way to have that behaviour. Maybe you can filter that out with some kind of midi filter or transformer.

you could also insert a ksp script - "preset/factory/utillities/midi filter" and enable "controller but then ALL midi cc data is filtered out. You could also use the transformer and transform cc7 to cc14 for example.

I'll just checked out the link. I haven't got the know how and understanding you have of this, so I'm unfortunately still lost as to what is meant here. I'll have a another look at it and see how I go.

I've heard of people talking about scripts before - kind of interesting, as here in Australia a "script" is something that you get from a doctor which has your prescription all filled out in a typed out form from for the dispensing chemist to read. Maybe a script for Kontakt is similar - it looks like something that is created to control any unwanted behavior from kontakt!!

So where do I get this script from?

The script you load by clicking on ksp (1 in my picture) then click on "preset/factory/utillities/midi filter" (2) and set it like in my picture it is part of kontakt. The whole stuff means that sibelius is sending control data to kontakt and it makes kontakt reset volume. The mentioned methods just avoid this by blocking the control data (midi data). I always thought that's all a prescription but you learn new stuff every day, english is not my native language, as you maybe already noticed. A script for computers is something that can handle inputs (data), proceed them and gives something out - as far as I understand. Greetings to down under from germany.
