D4 either is silent, or blasts at full volume. I can transpose from D3, but that is a bit cumbersome.
Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the test shows it needs repair. Sorry for the delay in replying, I broke a couple of ribs 'low level sky diving', i.e. tripped over a curb. not a good thing at 85! Cheers!
Can you try something like Midi-OX to monitor your MIDI input and check what the keyboard is sending when you hit D4? If it's sending just low and high levels with nothing in between you'll probably have to get the keyboard repaired.
