How can I set an output MIDI port using Kontakt as plugin?

When I open Kontakt as stand-alone, I can set the output ports, so I set LoopMidi and I receive all MIDI commands in an other application.

Using Kontakt in Camelot Pro, so as plugin, I can't find where set the output port, and LoopMidi doesn't receive any commands

Did I forget somethings, or there's no way to use LoopMidi when I use Kontakt as a plugin?

I don't know Camelot but Kontakt has a MIDI output port and also options (in settings) to tell it what MIDI data to send - in this host (Freestyle) you can see it as the circle dot - the audio outs are the square dots)

Hi buddy.

I wrote a quick manual for FL Studio, and this is a tip & tricks section of the manual. I guess it will be similar for Camelot Pro.

What I think you look for is Routing each instrument to a different Mixer channel, but I leave the MIDI input as well in case it is useful.

MIDI Input one Piano Roll per Instrument

Add instruments: Set and configure the instruments within Kontakt to be used in FL Studio,.

Input Port: Set an Input Port in Kontakt, all piano rolls from FL Studio will come from this port.

MIDI Input: Set the MIDI Input channel for each instrument.

MIDI Out plugin: Add one MIDI Out plugin per kontakt instrument.

Port and MIDI Out: In the MIDI Output plugin configuration, set to the Port the same value as the kontakt Input Port, and to the Channel the same value as the instrument MIDI Input port.

Routing each instrument to a different Mixer channel

Mixer Channel: Set a mixer channel for Kontakt 8, from which the instrument's Mixer channels will be assigned in serial.

Output Channel: Set Instrument Header view, press (I) button on the instrument header, and set the output slot (sequentially from 1 to N). This slot is the KT Out X connection on Kontakt settings.

Assign KT Out: Assign KT Out on settings to each increased mixer channel from selected in Kontakt plugin (37+0, 37+1, 37+2 in the example).

thank you for reply, I will use your guide to route audio, it will be useful!

But in this case I need to select the Midi Output Port.

Camelot Pro assume that Kontakt is an audio output plugin, so it doesn't receive any midi generated by Kontakt.

I'd like to use Pattern to generate Midi that should be used out of the Kontakt instance.

When I open Kontakt as stand-alone it shoes a panel where I can select the Midi Output Port, so i choose a Virtual midi port and i can connect Kontakt with any other instrument.

When I open Kontakt as plugin, the panel is not showed and i can't select the Midi Output Port, so i don't know whether Kontakt is using the last port i selected in stand-alone mode or none.

I don't know if there is the chance to select the port in any other way using Kontakt as plugin…
