Recording Arp Output From Kontakt 8 In Logic

Hi All- I'm trying everything I can think of to record the output of script generated notes (arp in this case) from Kontakt to a instrument track in Logic using the "internal midi in" feature. Logic won't show up as an option.

In Kontakt options I have Engine > Send Midi To The Outside World > Script Generated Notes checkmarked, and Midi > Outputs > Logic Pro Virtual In > On and Kontakt 8 Virtual Output also set to On.

It seems like it SHOULD work but what am I missing?? it's sooooo fruruating! Thanks for your help in advance!

Hello,

i´m not a mac and logic user and i don´t know if it´s still valid but you had to use the kontakt vst version within logic in order to be able to do that as far as i remember.

It would be the AU plugin format for Logic.

I'm not familiar with the process myself, but I do know you can click on the MIDI-FX menu and record midi output from MIDI-FC plugins that way. In terms of recording Kontakt it should be possible. Your settings look right, so I'm thinking it is a simple case of missing something.

It might need the Internal Midi In parameter that you need to set by setting it to the instance of Kontakt you want to record.
