Hello RX Team,
I’d like to request (and strongly advocate for) a very basic but important usability improvement: please display the active preset name when RX plug-ins are used inside a DAW.
In large sessions—especially orchestral or multi-mic projects—I often have many instances of RX running simultaneously, each with mic-specific noise profile presets that I’ve carefully saved. At the moment, there is no reliable way to confirm which preset is loaded in a given instance without manually opening the preset menu and checking it one by one.
As shown in the GIF below, this becomes extremely tedious at scale. When you’re dealing with dozens (or hundreds) of tracks, having to repeatedly open preset dialogs just to verify state is a serious workflow bottleneck.
To make matters worse, when opening the preset menu, RX highlights the last-used preset name from another instance of the same plug-in, meaning I can’t even trust what I see at first glance—I have to explicitly re-click the preset to be 100% sure it’s actually loaded.
• For reference: this is your RX plugin preset area - No preset name:
• Current verification workflow (manual, error-prone):
(Notice I'm on track 11, and I need to use Preset 11, and it initially shows me preset 7 since that was the last preset I touched in another instance of RX Spectral De-noise)
Every other plug-in I use — including iZotope's Ozone — clearly displays the active preset name in the DAW. This makes template verification fast, reliable, and scalable.
Could RX please offer the same basic functionality? Simply showing the currently loaded preset name would eliminate a lot of unnecessary friction and reduce the risk of mistakes in large professional sessions.
Thanks for taking the time to consider this.
Cheers,
Andrew K
