Kontakt 8 - Can't see note information at bottom left anymore

It may return in a different form at some point; but the removal was part of general user interface modernisation efforts. The Kontakt user interface has a lot of individual niche elements, and can be quite in-cohesive and inconsistent, so we're taking steps to make it a cleaner experience overall. Those steps won't always result in things being removed, but sometimes repurposed.

That said - in this case it has been, at least for now. We didn't see that many people were using it. I'm curious to hear from you → what were you using it for that you cannot get in any other way?

Why isn't anyone responding anymore? I have replied 3/4 times but my responses do not show up here.

I can't understand why my previous replies never appeared here and are now lost. I had explained in detail the use I have made of the Status Bar.

I have produced two libraries that I sell entirely for charity. The latest one makes good use of that area, and I am about to release it. It was all programmed on version 7.6. If you took away that Status Bar area in version 8, that would render quite a lot of work done on the library useless, and would make it slightly less user friendly. Can you please consider reintroducing it or allowing us users to turn on or off that function ourselves? We pay for your products and we are the ones supporting you throughout the years.

With regards to that product(s), what are you using that area for? I'd love to understand a bit more, as it's not a commonly used area of the product.

But a week ago or so, I had already replied to you right away, shortly after you wrote your response. A pop-up appeared saying my response would be published after being "approved".

I waited a few days, then wrote again, same thing. Then did it again, same thing.

Finally today my responses seem to be published right away, but this is definitely not how I expected a support forum is supposed to work. Wouldn't you agree?

I have a library where I have recorded loops that I have labelled with their style, tempo, meter. As you press the relevant keys on the keyboard this nomenclature shows up in the Status Bar, making it very easy and quick to recognise and familiarise with

Sorry , it appears as if none of the Moderators checked for messages to approve. I used to do this all the time myself but for rather long time there were nothing so I personally sort of forgot about it , also you think that the other guys do it 🤔. There are a number of Moderators other than me that must also have skipped the check.

Anyway , my apologies for my own missing your messages when they should have been approved…

Thank you for clarifying - I see what you mean.

I'm curious: what method are you using to display that information in the status bar?

Perhaps the messagefunction in KSP?
