S88 MK2 Firmware Downgrade 0.6 to 0.59

Question

Hi, I spent a fair amount of time searching here for a post that might have a link but came up dry. I'm looking to the S88 MK2 Firmware updater that will allow me to revert my S88 MK2 to FW version 0.59 (currently 0.6). The NI Download site has Firmware upgrader 1.4 for my KB, but that will not allow a downgrade.

As many may know one of the preferred configurations for the (now legacy product) S88 MK2 is to use Komplete Kontrol SW version 2.9.6 with the KB at firmware version 0.59. I explored living in the KK SW version 3.x space with FW 0.6 and miss much of the DAW compatibility that this configuration eliminated. (Am I wrong to believe that 0.59 is needed over 0.6 here?)

Anyway, if any of you kind souls has a link or comment to share, it would be appreciated.

Not aware of a downgrade.

Nor  I am aware of any difference between any firmware versions restricting KK 2.9.6 either.

I am running an S61MK2 and can run KK 2.9.6 or KK 3.x with no issue.

Dont even recall any firmware for my board beyond 0.59 either.

Don't recall anything about any of that. Usually firmware is not able to be downgraded, pretty sure even if an old installer was dug up it would simply state your firmware is newer.

Should be no loss of any function, would need details on what DAW you are using and what missing functionality you refer to.

FW version 0.5.9 is exclusively for keyboards that was made with a lower FW , also there is no user FW update to  FW 0.6 for any KK MK2 device.   Devices with FW 0.6 were made from the factory with FW 0.6 and have never had a lower FW version.

Thanks all for the comments. I’ll be looking elsewhere to get my DAW/S88 MK2 mixer mode back up and running.
