Komplete Kontrol crashing in Ableton

Hello all,

I am having an issue with Komplete Kontrol that just started recently. In standalone, all of my plugins will load fine, but when I try to scan the exact same plugin folders in Ableton, the plugin scan crashes Ableton. I tried reinstalling KK, and deleted the DB files to no avail. Any help here would be greatly appreciated .

So the crash happens when you use the plugin scanner in Live not in KK? That is more an issue with Live I would think. The only location you should be scanning within Live is the VST3 folder so if the scan is crashing, you must have an issue with a plugin. Would be best to contact Ableton support or ask on their forums.

If what you mean is when you scan your plugin folder in Komplete Kontrol standalone it is fine but when you try open the same preferences > Plugins section loaded within Live and then scan and it crashes, may need to raise a ticket about that one. Suggestion would simply be to scan your plugins outside Live so there is no need to have to scan them again when in Live. Only reason to scan the plugins is if you added a new one. Anything you do in KK standalone should apply when loaded as a VST in your DAW.
