Getting Session Bassist to play "normal" melodies?

Hi!

This is a question that I hope has a really simply answer, but I can't figure it out. If I have a Midi track, and tell Session Bassist (with a "melody" patch turned on) to play it, the track seems to get all these (apparently random) variations and tweaks, presumably to simulate the experience of having it played as a live instrument. Is there a way to turn that off, so that I can just get the notes played "straight," I guess you'd say?

Sorry, I realize now that's because I had notes below C2. Is C2 the lowest that Session bassist plays?

Yes C2 is the lowest note it will play. The notes below are control notes. Most basses won't go below E2 (although obviously detuned ones can).

But as the point of the session bass plugins is to mimic actual basses, there's not much scope for making it go beyond what that bass would do in real life.
