Aargh. I'm not sure how to even describe what I'm experiencing here, but I'm having a strange experience with Ireland running in Cakewalk Sonar (current version).
Let's say I create a new midi track, and insert an instance of Kontakt 8 (full). I then open the Irish flute from Ireland. I noodle around and things work as they should, so I hit record and play my part.
I can see the midi has recorded, and I can see the appropriate keys playing on the Kontakt keyboard view, but there's no sound.
All I have to do to hear the sound on playback is to reselect the same snapshot. Except that if I stop playback and then start playback again, I'm back to having no sound unless I reselect the snapshot again.
Freezing the synth just yields a clip of empty audio.
I did update Sonar and Kontakt 8, but nothing has changed.
I confirmed that the issue does *not* happen in Studio One - I can stop/start playback on the Irish flute to my heart's content. I also confirmed that the issue does not happen with other software instruments within Sonar. I haven't checked every one of my Kontakt libraries, and it seems to be limited to Ireland.
Any ideas about where to start with trouble shooting?
