Just loaded kontakt 8 from native access. using studio one. when opening up kontakt i can see all the libraries, but at the top header i am missing the menu tabs: File, Library, View.
How to get these to show?
To access the File Menu, click on the Kontakt logo/downward arrow.
To access the Library, click on the Library icon (three vertical book-like lines).
To access the Instrument(s), click on the Play icon.
All options previously present in the View Menu are now either in the File Menu, or positioned contextually throughout the interface via icons. For instance, at the bottom of the interface, you can enable/disable the Sidepanel Browser, the Info Help pane, the Keyboard, and the Instrument Headers via icons positioned right next to the features themselves.
This is a step towards user configurable/saveable/transferrable workspaces.
No, actually.
In both Default and Classic Views, you can click on the icon at the very bottom left to see the new Sidepanel Browser.
To switch between Default and Classic Views, press F10 or select the option from the File Menu.
Thankyou. I had know idea that's what those icons meant. I'm seeing videos of kontakt 8 and they show the words file library view.
How do I get the classic view with the instruments at the side panel of interface?
Click the play icon described by Matthew_NI ?
.
Those videos are old. The user interface is evolving.
You're the "boss" but I don't think that we are on same same page…. (No actually !)
The F10 will not work /respond as long as in library view as shown on the picture below here (other than highlighting the little mixer icon in upper right) , not before you click the Play icon that you described previously , then it will respond to F10
perfect. thanks.
