A Major Step Backwards for Automation. Again..

Absynth 6 launches without exposing its parameters for DAW automation, and that’s a serious problem. After all the backlash with Massive X, I really expected NI to learn from that and avoid repeating the same mistake. For a synth like Absynth, one that thrives on deep modulation and experimental workflows, not exposing parameters feels like a huge step backwards. It undermines the whole point of using a tool built for detailed automation, and it’s honestly baffling to see this issue resurface in 2025, for such a synth.. Sad

Absynth 5 was the same actually.

You can do it in Absynth and if you need you can assign to external MIDI messages like on previous version.

Seems a bit crazy for a hardware/software company to not offer automatable parameters - what happens if you load it into something like Komplete Kontrol then - does it then have mapped parameters?

Not all parameters are available for the DAW, you can assign parameters to the 16 Macros of Absynth and they will be exposed, like here in Ableton or in Komplete Kontrol. @Skijumptoes FYI

Not a step backwards, but yes a step sideways. Would like to see direct automation of parameters, not just macros like Absynth 5 or Massive X.
