How do presets get analyzed and then mapped to the Preset Explorer?

Is it somehow "automatic"?

Could the underlying AI technology be applied to future versions of the browsers in Komplete Kontrol 3 and Kontakt 8 by analyzing their NKS preset previews?

If you import a new bank it doesn't get analysed so it doesn't seem to be something built into Absynth 6 - I think NI must have used a separate app or LLM to do the AI analysis.

Didn't Arturia have something like the Preset Explorer years ago? I've seen that way of finding 'similar' presets before and I'm sure it was in the older versions of the Arturia synths although I might be wrong.

I'm not seeing an option to import a preset bank into Absynth 6. You can only open one preset at a time when you have hundreds of version 5 presets. Please explain how importing is done. I have several Absynth 5 third-party banks I'd like to use in version 6.

There are multiple ways to add older banks listed here but as I said above it looks like the AI browser is only going to work with patches analysed already by NI and also if you want tagging I’m having to do that in Komplete Kontrol at the moment. I hope both those things will be addressed in future updates (as well as template libraries being returned)

Got feedback from the Absynth team. At the moment the feature is only possible for factory presets as the presets go through a machine learning model. They are considering to extend this to user presets by implementing the trained model in the app/plug-in itself. We can't promise anything at the moment, we need to see if this is feasible and figure out a few things.
