How to download and use user presets in Absynth 6

Download an .nksf preset file from the Absynth User Library in the online community.
Open Absynth 6

3. Open the Absynth menu by clicking the three dots right of the Absynth logo and select "Open Preset…".

4. In the dialog, navigate to the containing folder on your hard drive, select the desired preset file, and click Open or double-click the file to load it. The selected preset will replace the current preset.

Important note: Absynth 6 includes backwards compatibility, allowing you to load user presets from Absynth 4 and Absynth 5.

Other than importing presets individually, can A6 see my A5 libraries if I put them somewhere?

In Absynth 5, if I save a preset, it immediately shows up in the preset list. User presets are also available in the browser under My Sounds. It seems to me that in Absynth 6, user presets do not show up anywhere in the browser. At all. Am I missing something, or is this an enormous downgrade in the browser that needs an immediate fix?

if you mean user presets saved in Absynth 6 they show up straight away too - toggle the user button to see user presets

why can't we actually organize the user preset folders… instead they do what massive does and just lumps them all together,, it's really annoying…

The problem is Absynth 6 is at the moment reliant on Komplete Kontrol for the tagging. However I catalogued all the presets in the user library long ago, converted them to .nabs, and added bank names and previews - also added previews for all the third party banks I had (obviously for those I have not attached the .nabs - just the previews) - so I've shared these with the community - see here for the Absynth goldmine

I noticed that some presets are missing from previous versions, particularly Absynth 4.

Could you please let me know if this is a common occurrence ?

Which presets do you mean? Missing from where?

Please note that Absynth 6 support nksf files and nabs files. Absynth 5 supported nabs files and could import/convert previous formats.

If you have or find presets from previous versions that are not nabs or nksf files, you will need to convert those in Absynth 5.

I'm talking about presets like this that can be downloaded onto your computer but don't appear in the browser.

There are not just two but several missing from the banks, so download them to your computer.

And each time I have to go into (Open Preset) to add the missing presets but I don't have direct access in the browser.

There are several missing ones, not just in the Absynth 4 bank, but in almost all the banks.

@Vincentbon83200 I've reached out to the Absynth team, they are already aware of the issue and working on it. It's filed under the reference ABS5-1535.
