A third party (non NI) instrument.
I successfully added all of my additional 3rd party Kontakt instruments to my library. They all work as expected with the exception of one which is a drumkit I purchased. As I currently understand the Kontakt library viewer to work, I can click to highlight an instrument, at which point any presets appear in a right hand pane. Clicking on one of those presets loads the instrument with those settings applied.
However, with this drumkit - specifically the Modern Reggae Drumkit for Kontakt v1.3 - I get a "content missing" error should I try to load anything other than the standard .nki instrument file.
The the thing I don't understand though, is that the 'suggested' file path where Kontakt expects the .nki to be is NOT any file path on any computer or external disk that I own or have ever owned!
To be more specific, the error box "assumed at"
"D:\Music Production\Modern Reggae Drums for Kontakt\KONTAKT\Modern Reggae Drums for Kontakt - Premium Edition v1.3\"
and as above, this file path is completely meaningless to me.
If I use the 'browse' options in this window, I can obviously set the actual location of the .nki file but… once this window closes, the chosen preset is not applied.
Having spent several hours on this I can no longer tell if I'm simply blind to some obvious error on my part, whether this is in fact something coded into the instrument - in which case I need to contact its author - or whether it's something anyone here recognises?
