Hiding 3rd party Plugins from Browser

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with Komplete Kontrol and I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I would like to remove certain third-party plugins from the Komplete Kontrol browser, for example all the UAD effects, because I don’t use them during production and they clutter up the plugin list.

However, I don’t want to uninstall the plugins from my system, since I still use them in other software.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Unchecked the plugins in Komplete Kontrol’s Preferences → Plug-ins.
Performed a full rescan of the database.

Unfortunately, Komplete Kontrol still shows them in the browser as if nothing changed.

Does anyone know if there’s a way to:

hide specific plugins from the browser,
properly exclude them from the internal scan,
or manually edit/remove something in the database or manifest files?

I’m on macOS and running the latest version of Komplete Kontrol.

FWIW: I am using Windows and Komplete Kontrol v2.9.6 - and have the same slew of UAD stuff that you do

But I have practically everything unchecked - except for those UA plugins that actually ARE NKS compatible - and I do not see any UAD stuff in my KK adventures:

Thanks for your answer, it doesn't work for me, both in KK and Maschine, even if I uncheck plugins they still show up on browser view…

Thanks for your help @Vocalpoint, I can't see the complete path from there, but,
I tried to search files name on mac's finder and deleted them if located in Native instruments folders.

I still see them even if they lost the thumbnail/picture and now they show up on the bottom of the plugins list.

Is an "almost win" 🤣

Obviously if some NI guys join the conversation could be helpful.

Only way to remove them from the browser is to remove the actual NKS/preset files which you should be able to right-click a file in the browser and "locate" on your drive then delete all the files for that plugin (make a backup if needed),

Deselecting the plugin simply removes it from the plugin menu (it is still scanned in and still resides to be loaded by projects) but just simply does not appear in the plugin list however browser will still show it if NKS/preset files are present as KK and Maschine scan in these without even knowing of the plugin.

There is no way to "hide" anything, it shows up if there is content available, you need to remove the content if you don't want it available otherwise just ignore it and pretend it isn't there also works effectively.
