After a little 3rd party Kontakt info please.
Have purchased Rigid Audios everything bundle and gone through the installation instructions, which were:
If available, place the instruments ‘snapshots’ directories to (Mac)
My-user-name/Documents/Native Instruments/User Content/Kontakt
And for each product, click on the little cog at bottom left of Kontakt Library screen and add each one to the Import Content page.
This has sort of worked in that everything does actually work.
I added 47 Kontakt instruments, 13 of which had snapshot folders
If I look under the main Kontakt Browser I can see all 47 instruments. If I click on the User created content button, I just see the 13 that had their own snapshot folders.
If I go into any of those 13 snapshot folders and click on any snapshot, it tells me that, for example, if I click on any of the Pad_Therapy snapshots:
“RA_PAD_THEARPY.nki /Development/RA_PAD-THEARAPY/RELEASE/“
1 file could not be found.
If I click on either browse for folder or browse for files (and select the file it wants) nothing happens.
I get it, the instrument isn’t loaded but this seems messy.
If I then go back to the Factory Browser and click on the instruments, some have all the snapshots listed with little piano keyboards next to them, all these snapshots open the instrument as expected.
For example if I click on the same file as before it opens fine.
But if I choose say ATHEOS again under the user section I get
But this time when I go back to Factory, it lists the ATHEOS instrument as the first entry, but none of the snapshots below it have keyboards next to them hence again I get the same file not found if I click on the snapshots.
But as I have the actual instrument as the first entry, I can click on that and sure enough the instrument loads
As you can see from it’s pull down menu, all the snapshots are available from within the instrument
All the other 34 instruments without the snapshots folder, either have all the snapshots with the little keyboard beside them (so they open fine) or just the instrument is shown, for example
So everything works, but the ones with separate snapshot directories are messy, anyone have any ideas on possibly fixing this? It’s not that important, but I like things to be tidy.
