Hello, I wanted to post this here in case anyone else has run into this problem and needs a fix;
When applying the Velocity Curve Tool in Kontakt 8 and using a sustain pedal connected to your keyboard, the Velocity Curve Tool will by default affect the sustain pedal making it behave improperly and thus unusable.
Here's the fix:
Open the settings button on the Velocity Curve Tool as shown below;
Then change the "MIDI controller #64 (Sustain Pedal) acts as" setting to "MIDI controller only" and it should fix the issue;
I've checked in both standalone and in my DAW and this issue is present. Changing this setting should fix it.
How the sustain pedal misbehaves:
With the Velocity Curve Tool set to its default setting, the sustain pedal will sustain all the notes played when pressed, but when the pedal is lifted, (off) the notes continue to sustain until they are triggered again on the keyboard and then they stop sustaining.
Thanks and I hope this helps!
