Does a selecting an iZotope "Target" OVERWRITE previosuly established settings and which ones?

If I pick a target to emulate, will it reset everything that has already been set by "LEARN" or any changes I made already to my Nectar 4 VST?
And what settings?

Compression I assume…
EQ I assume
Auto Level?

My confusion is it has become so "simplified" and "streamlined(?)" for some users that it's hard to know what is going on in the background

When you select a target Nectar 4 it will change settings that were learned during the initial pass with the assistant plus any other manual tweaks. This mainly would affect eq but also could affect other modules that shape your tone to match the eq curve. The most effective way to do use this is to first learn the file with the assistant then if you have a reference target to use select it and audition a few different ones. Then once you have one your satisfied with then you can start making adjustments to the individual modules that ensure the most efficient workflow.
