How to automate the main parameter on Session Strings Pro

Hi Everyone, I am trying to automate the Main parameter on Session Strings Pro to go from Legato to Portamento, then back to Legato on a particular passage. The Main parameter does not appear in the automation parameters list in my DAW (Studio One). Any ideas on how to automate this parameter?

Do you mean something other than using the velocity to control the switchover between the two variations? At least that's how it works on Session Strings Pro 2.

Thanks for your reply, and I apologize for being new to sound samplers; everything I have done up to now has been with analog instruments. I see the "Dynamic Ctrl." parameter on the Articulation page, with "Velocity" and "Mod Wheel" as an either/or option, but I don't see how that changes the "Main" parameter from "Legato" to "Portamento".

Thanks again for bearing with me. I have a the same options in Session Strings Pro, but cannot find the automation parameter names for either of those two parameters. I am looking for a parameter called "Main", "Velocity Control", "Portamento" or "Legato", but don't find any of these in the automation list.

I figured out that if I used the Production version of the instrument, then key switches appeared that I could control with MIDI notes. This method was super easy to implement and worked perfectly to change from Legato to Portamento in the middle of a passage. Thanks for all of your help DunedInDragon
