Anyone know how to edit a Kontakt instrument file to set some parameter?

I am using Get Good Drums libraries. They are incredibly annoying in that there is this parameter called HH CC Num that is never saved when you save one of its MIDI mapping presets. All their libraries use various HH CC Nums by default (like 26, 49, etc). It is really idiotic, since in every other drum library on the planet HH CC Num is typically 4. I am so tired of having to change HH CC Num to 4 every single time I use GGD. For my use case I really need HH CC Num to be 4.

I imagine somewhere in the instrument file there is this HH CC Num. I opened the instrument file in a HEX editor but I can't find where this HH CC Num is.

Would be awesome if someone has insight into how to make this edit…

It's been a while since I used GGD libraries but I kind of remember they provide different variations of MIDI settings of the MIDI codes when you download I believe. You can also remap those values in any of the NI drum libraries on the options tab and change it from Default to several other vendor maps. One of those might match what GGD is using. Bottom line, those are there because they represent different variations of how the hi hat is being played such as slightly open, full open, tip of drum stick, side of drum stick, etc. which are not a part of the General MIDI drum definitions.

Of course the other alternative is to open it in your DAW as a MIDI track and edit them in batch however you'd like to match whatever drum kit you're using.
