Hello all…I tried to midi out of my MPC Xse into Kontrol MK3 to sequence sounds but im having no luck. is this even possible? can anyone help? thanks
Hello,
this should work, if you activate the mpc midi port (or the corresponding one) as input, and set the midi track within the mpc software to send out on midi ch 1. But can´t you just open the instrument within the mpc software, or what is the reason for that setup?
Thanks Uwe !
I would like to use the MPC Live 3 or my MPC XSE sequencer to control multiple midi tracks in Native Kontrol. can anyone help me? thanks
it depends a bit on how exactly you want to do it, do you want a maschine pad per midi track on the mpc or you have a pad per note from the mpc.
first method you would have to set up different midi channels on both sides, in the mpc sequencer (several tracks) and on the receiving side, on maschine pads input/midi
second method, you have only one midi track on the mpc and a note is one pad on the maschine, you set uo the input on the group level to "drumkit" mode", then from c3 on you can play each pad, or set it manually if needed.
Uwe, he is trying to use Komplete Kontrol with MPC, not Maschine.

No this won't work. Kontrol MK3 is not compatible with MPC software. You can only address 1 instance because they removed the "instance" button that was on the Kontrol MK2 that you could use to manually switch instances. Other DAWs work with Kontrol MK3 because they have support for it built in. In those DAWs, selecting a track will automatically focus the MK3 to the Komplete Kontrol instance on that track. MPC software does not support this currently. You may want to return your MK3 and get a used MK2 if you want to work with your MPC in controller mode with Komplete Kontrol.
Ahh ok you want´s to use kk within the mpc software as plugin with the mk3 keyboard? Then it´s like @b-righteous said as far as i know. Sorry for mixing something up here.
P S. but maybe a good idea to then use maschine
