    Nearly a year later and im STILL having this issue, even after a clean computer reboot, and also with the most recent Live 12 beta.

    Hope it will be the same with you. I'm a software engineer, and this bug feels like an Ableton Live bug, not NI. They need to check the setting of the surface control after a project load.

    I think this is the issue. Like I said before, It feels like its just failing to connect to the surface control script (sometimes) because the plugin integration still works.

    also KK feels like its getting worse over time. I really dislike the new browser view. Bring back the side list so I dont have to constantly swap between browser/plugin view within KK....

    Rebooting was the only thing that worked for me in the past. When people started mentioning services, that made a ton of sense regarding the reboots since that also restarts the services. I got the keyboard using Ableton 11 but the problem persisted to Ableton 12 along with Reaper. Again, makes sense that it's not the DAW's themselves since it's the same issue across all three. So what works for me is

    1. Open Task Manager
    2. Go to Services
    3. Find NHostIntegrationAgent and Right Click it and Choose Restart

    Your keyboard will turn off and on again and bam, DAW integration working again. I hope this helps others. It has plagued me from the start. Please fix NHostIntegrationAgent NI!
