hey guys, I recently purchased a KK A49 and I’m quite happy with the out the box Mapping and the overall functionality. As I am using Logic Pro, I now wanted to map the encoders to something different than the track volume, as I am not using that very often. It seems that re-mapping is not as easy as thought or I may be overseeing something obvious. Maybe you can help me out.
1. is there a way of introducing a new profile-like overlay for the default mapping? E.g. pushing the track button (currently resulting in a different mode with the same functionality but different names for the channels). Maybe it’s possible to activate a mapping profile there?
Or
2. just replace the channel volume on the encoders overall? If I try via key assignment/midi-learn-mode, it always falls back to channel and doesn’t overwrite anything. Before I now start to randomly delete things, I wanted to make sure how I can go back to default or if it’s possible overall. Preferably it would be nice to map to logics smart controls of the activated channel (in my eyes kind of like the default 8 knobs you get in the Komplete Kontrol Plugin), but I already read that these are more of an on-the-fly option and cannot be mapped permanently. So just mapping any control from the automation menu would also do the trick for me.
Sorry if the question is already answered somewhere else. I tried to find some older discussions about it but most threads here were about the S-Series keyboards, that include a lot more functions now automatically. I would be very thankful for any kind of help 😊
Cheers, Alex
