I already posted this as a reply to another user that had the same problem. The answer he got was to just use the Loops and One Shots as audio, but no solution was provided to using the actual Kontakt Leap intrument within KK.
The problem is that you cannot actually load an empty instance of Kontakt 8 directly from KK. You need to load a preset from a random instrument and THEN, navigate the interface, selecting EDIT, to find your Leap Expansions. And if you then save that as a KK preset, when you try to reload it KK does not find it, for some reason.
The reason I even need to do that is to be able to use my Novation Launchkey keyboard knobs with Kontakt, because most Kontakt´s instruments do not directly show their parameters to Ableton to be mapped to the knobs, you need to use KK for the keyboard to handle NKS protocol. Meanwhile, Massive X just shows its parameters to Ableton and there is no need to use KK at all to use my controller with its macros, or a whole bunch of other parameters if I wish to do so.
The workaround from within Ableton is to save the Komplete Kontrol>Kontakt>Leap Instrument state as an Ableton Live Device preset.
Anyway, having to use Kontakt with the KK wrapper is already a clumsy solution, and on top of that having to find workarounds to find your instruments within what is supposed to be a quick browser for ALL of your NI sounds is just bad programming. I hope that this gets solved quickly.
