How can I install the original versions of Komplete Ultimate instruments? As stated in another thread, updates make numerous instruments unusable. I never saw a warning about updates rendering instruments unloadable.
My opinion of Native Instruments has changed from really good to really poor. Why would you allow an update to occur if it would cause incompatibility? Your current approach is an attempt to get people to upgrade to Kontakt 8. This is quite unethical to break existing instruments and force users to pay just to get what worked before working again.
If Native Instruments was an honest broker, you would allow a way to back out of the updates so at least the instruments would work as before.
This is yet another example of not supporting customers properly, I have had a similar issue with Komplete Kontrol and not having my keyboard compatible anymore. It is understandable that some new features may not be compatible, but you should always provide a fall back.
Why not design the new features such that when you load a previous Kontakt version you fork your logic to skip the new features? Certainly, you could have easily created a version 8 of the instruments and left the legacy library as is. If someone wanted to get rid of the old ones they could easily, uninstall the previous versions. I am not happy as many of my projects now fail due to this update approach.
