Session Ukulele: Tenor (Melody) is one octave too high by default

I bought the Session Ukulele instrument. Unfortunately the default pitch of the Tenor Melody instrument is one octave too high.

How can I fix this, so that the correct note is played from my midi input?

I already tried to configure "MIDI transpose" in the instrument settings to -12. But then notes C to F# do not play at all, it starts at G.

What am I doing wrong? And why is this instrument configured wrong?
