Help a newbie with preview player please?

So I've recently moved over to TP4 and I'm spending a lot of time searching for a solution to mapping the control of the preview player to the X1 MK3 . I purposely brought the X1 so to spend less time pressing buttons on a laptop.

It seems I can do it, but I'll lose functionality of other buttons which are already mapped out of the box.

I've mapped the Hotcues 3+4 to load and play. But I need an encoder to seek the player. My solution was a press/hold/turn of an encoder, but that doesn't give me the option in the controller manager.

Am I missing something? (most probably) :)

The downloaded mod file contains a folder called qml, which contains CSI/X1MK3 folders/files and SCREEN/X1MK3 folders/files. These are modified copies of the original. The originals need to be overwritten by the modified files (and there are a handful of new files for the screens).

So yes, it's the parent folder that needs to be overwritten by the mod folder. Just don't delete anything from the original that has not been modified. Any make a safety copy of the whole folder first, so you have something to fall back to if there is an issue.

The setup page to customize the mod is the mode your X1 is in when connecting and where you select decks and FX units. I just used the FX buttons as toggles. Please read the description for details and how to reenter the setup page when the device is already connected.

Note: to use the preview player, the 'browser mode' setup option must be engaged and you have to be in browser mode to use it.
