Can you edit Massive X Animator macro manipulations or is it just random?

I have been trying to find documentation on this and figure it out on my own but so far it seems the only control you have is to turn off particular macros in the animator thus making the minipulation random…this would be lame if true but I must be missing something right?

Ha, I think I figured it out and it was intuitive, and precisely what I was trying to do before. I must have missed something. If you move to a corner, manipulatethe macros, then press the square button with one dot it will lock those macro positions in that corner.
