I’ve been running into an annoying issue with the VST3 version of Komplete Kontrol in Ableton Live (Windows 11). When I map parameters to a third-party MIDI controller, the values jump or snap instead of picking up smoothly from where they are. This also happens when I change parameter pages.
It looks like Ableton’s Takeover Mode (Pickup/Scale) doesn’t apply correctly to Komplete Kontrol VST3 automation/mapping — so the knobs always snap rather than behaving smoothly.
Setup:
Komplete Kontrol 3.5
Ableton Live Suite 12.2.5
Windows 11
Controllers tested:
Novation SL61 MK3
Novation Launchkey Mini
Midi Fighter Twister
Has anyone found a fix or workaround for this? I’d love to keep using Komplete Kontrol but still be able to map third-party controllers without the parameter jumps.
