Hardware/Software Integration with Nuendo 8

I am considering the BUNDLE purchase of the Kontrol S 88 keyboard that includes the Komplete 15 Ultimate software package. I currently use Nuendo 8 for my DAW. I want to be sure everything integrates before going down any rabbit hole fixes. Has anyone had experience with this scenario?

Upside: I would think as long as it is actually running (you got that goofy e-Licenser stuff sorted) and is on Windows - and it works with VST3 - there is a good chance you might have success.

Downside: Nuendo 8 is from June 2017 and has long been discontinued/unsupported by Steinberg. It will certainly never have been tested by NI with Komplete 15 (or any other any modern NI product) so if you have issues - you would be on your own.

Your call if you want to try - but just know going in - this would most likely be an exploratory journey as you will not know what you might encounter.

Thanks VP- Points well taken. Yes, e-License stuff finally resolved. (What a nightmare.) Though the prior homepage of the software when loaded, used to included a nice portal; a blog looking thing entitled Steinberg Home. (News, chats, free plug ins, tutorials portal etc etc….) Now it's a big huge empty block of space with nothing in it but a message, "cannot connect to the internet" WTHell? It must be some discontinued element post Nuendo 8.

At least that box goes bye bye when the program opens.

Everything I have is primarily the VST3 and thus far seems to be friendly with most developers/plugins and such, from all kinds of companies.
I still don't understand the whole 'discontinuing support' thing with Steinberg and the like. Most upgrades nowadays involve very little 'upgrade' offerings. Does our owning their once 'praised' software really put them out so much? It seems as though with upgrades we are just paying for time to bug fix, write new drivers and check to be sure OS's are shaking hands. The actual usable technology hasn't really changed much. You'd think they'd at least offer a new graphics skin. But no; looks (and operates) the same as it did 15 years ago. Anyway, thanks for the input. Sorry for the rant. :-)
