The firmware and the HCS broke Cubase in my case with an infinite loop of MIDI remote script console.
Is there any way to rollback the firmware?
To fix the issues with midi remote script console, you just need to update Cubase to the latest version (13.0.55, or 14.0.32 I believe)
OK, so the cubase 13.0.55 did the trick. It looks like Kontrol-s screen is back to life.
Unless that you are already using firmware 2.0.5 update then you should update to that since that apparently fixed some issues , else then : Quote : FIXED - Issue with the Kontrol S mk3 new firmware/Hardware Connection Service
MAC
The Hardware Connection Service update in Native Access fails to install the Cubase scripts, but doesn't uninstall itself. Only affects Cubase users.
SOLUTION
While we are working on fixing both issues, you can download and install the new version of the Hardware Connection Service (2.0.4) in your download Manager:

Else then I do not know exactly how this firmware reset works and if it reverts to same version anyway , but timrae_NI wrote this :
If you wish to downgrade to firmware1.9 (x.x ??) you can do so, you just have to reset the version numberon the device (by power cycling it 5 times until you see the"something went wrong" message appear) before running theold device updater.
Yes, I'm currently downloading 13.0.55, will see after that.
I did the Kontrol S firmware update yesterday so it's probably the most current and today downloaded the newest hardware connection service.
Cubase stays in a loop and kontrol screen stays black and only MIDI notes are transmitted, nothing else works.
Let see if Cubase version helps!
Poorfellow, thanks for the message and power cycling tip but where can I download the old firmware updater?
