"fat" guitar sounds

Hi
I'm really new to this field, I have a Kontrol s61. And other guitar packs from Native Instruments. I'm trying to create guitar sounds for different artists..
Dire Straits
Eric Clapton
David Gilmour
I can't really get close to it (I have a lot to learn).
Can anyone help me with presets or appropriate settings? I have a few guitar packs and if there's an idea for a suitable pack I'd love to buy one.

Hello,

i think one big part of the sound of those artists is the amp + speaker and fx combination. Just go to the amps & fx tab, clear all and maybe start with just an amp then add stuff as you need it. There are also lot´s of rig rundown videos out there that might help to find the correct stuff. Also have a look/listen to all the presets, "evaporation" from electric mint reminds me of a very well known ds song.

Another impossibility is that Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton and David Gilmour are world class, unique individuals with sounds that only they can procure with their hands, their skill and their instruments.

No plugin from any vendor will ever be able to sound like Dave Gilmour - regardless of how good the software is, the programming is or anything else.

Us mortals can try to come close but it will never be Dave.
