Logic mixer using Kontrol S 61 MK3 in MIDI 2.0 don't work properly

When using Kontrol in MIDI 2.0 with Logic Pro X, the mixer mapping doesn't work right. If you want to bring the fader down using the Kontrol knob, it'll go up in the logic mixer and stay up, no matter how you move the knob on the Kontrol S 61 MK3. I also gave it a go in Pro Tools and Ableton, and it worked just fine. It looks like Logic Pro X is having the problem.

Ok I did switch to MIDI 1.0 what happened? I think it was working fine in the preview firmware of the Kontrol after, updating it started acting up…

Not sure what happened but between Logic updates, Mac updates, NI updates, the host integration features settings can sometimes need to be done again.

Delete this file User/Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic.pro.cs

Then reopen Logic and rebuild defaults for controllers in controller settings

Don’t use Midi 2.0 in Logic, trash Logic’s control surface preferences and let it rebuild them. Should work.
