The two (S88 MK2 & Maschine 3) were working fine together until I think recent update?? I just updated my stuff yesterday my system has been off for a while - doesn't matter it's up-to-date as soon as I turned it on and before I started running into this as it's the only reason why I use this laptop. I really don't use this system often. I have my reasons. It's only dedicated to using my Native Instruments stuff and thanks in advanced for your help Native Instruments and NI Community!
I primarily use Native Access and my Library of NI products on this laptop - rarely anything else. Safari, Discord, OBS, Adobe CC (Photoshop, Audition, Media Encoder) and nothing else. All default and always updated.
When I navigate around the DAW on my s88 the screens are not registering what is taking place accurately then at some point it'll stop responding all together in one way or another. Turning it off and on is a temporary "solution" that only comes back to it not functioning. Touch sensitive knobs stop responding after loading something and can't edit what I have loaded because of that. Some buttons and lights with the navigation are not working at all (4D knob being without Up, Down, Left, or Right while browsing). The keys work fine they play and the lights for things seem to do what they need to do. I don't know about all of VSTs, I don't think this is related to them, but Maschine 3. Side note: I tried the MK3 and I do not like it. Right now the S88 works perfectly in Maschine 2 (2.18.4) which is failing to load some projects currently?
I have everything up-to-date. s88 firmware from the driver page, NI Access launcher (Version 3.19.1 (07b9d12 / 1.25.0.0), Maschine 3 (3.3.0) and my Apple OS (Sequoia 15.6) . This laptop is dedicated only to NI Access and my library as well. Literally only Creative Cloud with Photoshop, Audition and Media Encoder, OBS and Discord are on it outside default Apple things. I don't move folders and I keep everything set at default. Quite literally relying on Apple and Native Instruments autopilot. Bad idea? Unsure why uninstalling and reinstalling would ever be an answer when it was functioning just fine before Update? Also it's not resolving my issue because I did try to Reinstall Maschine 3 to see if that helps any. It's a Maschine 3 current version compatibility issue because it works fine in Maschine 2.
I am just very confused that is all.
Because like I said this laptop only is for Native Access and my library use and it's up-to-date. 2019 MacBookPro i9, AMD Radio Pro 5500M 8GB GPU, 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 RAM, 2 TB SSD HD, Sequoia 15.6 with a Yamaha/Steinberg UR816c Audio Interface & Maschine+ & Komplete Kontrol S88 MK2 and the MIDI controller goes nowhere, non-smoking environment and it's all extremely well taken care of.
Turning it off and turning it back on doesn't answer the problem. Changing the USB cable doesn't, changing the USB port it was in doesn't, restarting my laptop and NI and Maschine3 doesn't. Reinstalling Maschine 3 doesn't.
I am just curious why this is now not communicating like it once did???
Not really sure what is going on I use everything by default and I don't mess with anything. I just let them (Apple & NI) do their thing and go with the flow. It's awesome when it works, but it is not when it doesn't. Right now is not so much awesome. I just want to be a music maker program user not a computer engineer technician troubleshooter.
