I think since kontakt factory library 2, the effect mix has changed. In the original version fx were added with a level knob that ADDED the effext, and kept the dry level the same.
Take as an example vintage-mellotron. In the old version there are just 3 fx availabe, and there is no option for reverb/delay (had to add those through the channel), in the new one almost all fx are available under the fx tab. BUT … these fx use a mix knob that has a level of 100%/0 (dry) to 0/100% (wet).
The problem is that at intermediate levels, the dry and fx level is not balanced, so that the overall volume drastically changes, good example it the reverb. At 50/50 overall volume is way lower that at 0 or 100%.
This is most irritating as one has to increase the overall volume, for example by adding a compressor or so, really stupid.
NI, please either add a dry AND wet know, or just have a level knob just for the fx, or balance the volume (which I think is hard to do). Possibly you may have to devide fx in INSERT and SEND fx, because for a chorus one indeed wants a 0 to 100% apporach, but for delay and reverb it just makes no sense in general, except for a special effect case. An option could be to have a radio button above the Mix that switches between insert and send method. So
INSERT - current behavious
SEND - simply sets the level of the effect and original signal remains the same, so effect is ADDED to the dry level.
