Permanent Midi mode on A25?

Bought a new A25 keyboard. Here`s the problem: I can activate midi mode, but the controller will go back to track mode / native mode as soon as I change the track in Pro Tools. I'm pretty sure I found a way on my M32 to switch to midi mode permanently. Is that just not possible on the A25? Any help much appreciated!

As far as I know then the keyboards are supposed to switch to Komplete Kontrol mode as soon as you switch to a track where you use the Komplete Kontrol plugin , but if your keyboard is not S-Series MK3 then it should not switch if using Kontatkt plugin or app rather than Komplete Kontrol plugin or app then the keyboard ought to remain in Midi mode ?

Hmm thanks, I don't use Komplete Kontrol at all, not even NI instruments usually. Doesn't matter what kind of track I select, it will always go back to track mode…

I am sorry , but I do not have an A25 and all my knowledge about it is purely theoretical , but you can check page 58 an forward in this manual for Midi information.

Maybe what you are looking at is the keyboard in DAW control mode/"Host Integration" and it has to do with that turned on ?

Yes, I guess I could use the keyboard as a regular midi device. But the host intgration in Pro Tools is cool. When you activate midi mode, you have the best of both worlds, the 4d wheel thing acts as a shuttle wheel,you can use the transport controls etc but the 8 encoders can be used for normal midi cc. If only midi mode would be permanent :) Thanks for your help!
