Kontakt 7 freezes my mainstage on my new m4 macbook pro

I just bought a new m4 pro macbook pro and used Migration Assistant to move everything from my 2020 intel macbook pro. For some reason my mainstage projects, which rely heavily on kontakt libraries, keep freezing (pointer turning to 'thinking' icon) for about 10 minutes.

I tried a new project with only native mainstage presets and it was fine. I tried running Kontakt standalone (single, I’m not using multi on standalone) and in cubase and everything was fine.

I reinstalled kontakt and it's content, reinstalled mainstage and nothing changed.

I opened a blank project, imported the layout, and while draging my presets I got a message that kontakt 7 reported a problem.

What am I missing here?

Hey there, sorry to stumble upon your post a bit late. We usually don't recommend using Migration/Cloning: My Native Instruments Product does not work after using Migration Assistant / Time Machine / Carbon Copy Cloner (Mac OS)

Please note that if you switched from Intel to Silicon, you'll need to open your old projects in Rosetta mode: How to Open Your DAW Using Rosetta

Also make sure to give Kontakt and Logic full disk access: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

If you are still experiencing this issue, even after these steps, you could try a database reset for Kontakt 7:

Reinitialize the Kontakt Database

1. Hold down the alt key on your computer's keyboard and click Go in the Finder menu bar. Choose the appearing Library entry in the drop-down menu.
   
2. Navigate to Application Support > Native Instruments.
3. Depending on the Kontakt version you are using, delete the following folder:
   Kontakt 5: "Kontakt 5"
   Kontakt 6: "Kontakt"
   Kontakt 7: "Kontakt 7"
   Kontakt 8: "Kontakt 8"
4. Start Kontakt as a standalone application (not in your DAW).
