RD-2000 drawbars raise volume halfway in Kontakt

Hi, I use Roland RD-2000 to control Kontakt. Everything works fine except that when I use the drawbars to control volume in Kontakt, the volume in Kontakt goes up only halfway since the drawbar on Roland is at maximum.

I don't know how I can fix that

    Hi, thanks for replying,

I have change the volume settings in Kontakt 8 (instrument options - Controller - midi controller #7 (Volume) Range - 12 Db)

This changes the volume settings for that specific instrument loaded. From there you have to «save as» and overwrite the instrument if you want a permanent change.

Now all faders on RD-2000 works in the correct range from 0 to 127.

    Hello,

can you check the midi signal, you could just record some automation and it may just show a max of 63, it should be 127. Or your daw has a midi monitor, then you can use that, another alternative is midi ox, a stand alone midi tool. And if you mean those so called "harmonic bars" then they should output midi cc102 - 110, and values from 0 to 127, at least the manual says it.
