Session Horns Velocity Switch from piano

Brand new to Session Horns (and Kontakt in general). I have set the velocity switch to FoPiCre, which sounds great when triggered wth the on-screen keyboard. But playing with my digital piano does not play the expression changes at all. How do I get it to do that? Also, I see red keyswitch keys on-screen, but they only seem to affect the Animator. Am I supposed to use those for the velocity switch or something?

OK, I stumbled upon an answer, sort of. The screen shot above shows performance mode, where my problem persists, where FoPiCre only works from on-screen keyboard. Also, keyswitches only work to change phrases using the animator.
When I switch to single articulation, the FoPiCre sounds from the piano, but of course I can only use the one articulation.

I'm a little confused and that may be because I'm using Session Horns Pro, but FoPiCre isn't a velocity, it's an articulation (technique used in playing the instrument). It's enabled by a keyswitch (MIDI note) which you can define. I'm also using Kontakt 8 so it may be different if you're using a lower version.
It may be easier if you can grab a screen shot and post it because the way your describing it is very confusing.
Just to be clear, these different articulations are generally used at different points in the track depending on how you want the horns played for that section of the song. I personally find it easier to simply drop in the MIDI note for a given articulation manually in the track so I can position it's execution precisely.

In the upper left, under Full Section, is Velocity Switch. I was also confused because it doesn't seem to have anything to do with velocity. Anyway, when I play a note on screen it sounds as expected. When played on the piano the FoPiCre does not sound. The key switches have no effect, as they appear to be only related to the Animator (where they do work as expected if I'm usinf the Animator which I'm not in this case.)
