A61 Mod Wheel Skips

I just picked up a brand new Komplete Kontrol A61 last week, and so far it’s been a great addition to my setup. However, there’s one issue that’s been throwing things off a bit—whenever I move the mod wheel, there’s a noticeable jump or skip right at the start of its movement. It doesn’t respond smoothly or gradually like it should.

Everything else is working flawlessly, but this glitch is kind of a buzzkill—especially since I rely on the mod wheel heavily in both my studio workflow and live performances. Has anyone else run into this? Any tips or fixes would be massively appreciated.

@hifilofirecording Are you able to reproduce the issue in Komplete Kontrol in standalone? On another computer? Please double check the MIDI activity: How to Monitor the Output of a MIDI Controller

If it's happening on several compuyers, it's definitely a hardware issue, please get in touch with our support here: https://bit.ly/NI_Support_All

This issue was a commonly reported one years back especially back on the old forum and would be more of a problem when you moved the wheel quickly and easy to see when recorded in a DAW. It seemed either the signal was dropping out or the sampling of the position just wasn't at a high enough resolution especially for faster movements.

Not sure if it was addressed in an update or if there are any cases of it still on Google, have to say as of recent I have not noted this issue crop up so could have been older models or older firmware or just no one buys the A series much these days but there were a number of reports about it after the A series was first released.

Just also rule out any interference issue if you are using a non-NI supplied USB cable, just see if you have another available if it makes any difference as some cables have very poor/no shielding.
